Outreach Programs

The Outreach Programs area is dedicated to communicating with and being an advocate for the non-traditional recreational sports participant. The student groups most closely associated with this program area are Students with Families, International Students, and Students with Disabilities. The Outreach Programs area oversees programming such as Family Nights, or the Partners In Recreational Sports (PAIRS) program. The program can also connect various diverse groups on campus with the appropriate Recreational Sports department with the intent on providing every potential recreational sports participant with the best possible experience.

Outreach Programs Assistant

General Information: The Outreach Programs Assistant is responsible for assisting with the development, coordination, and supervision of programs and activities offered through the Division of Recreational Sports Outreach Programs area. Employees are expected to have a general knowledge of all division programs and activities and to be able to provide quality customer service and excellent communication as needed.

Qualifications: Excellent customer service and communication skills are required. The ability to manage multiple tasks and to communicate with various diverse groups on campus is required as well. The ability to coordinate events and to recruit and organize volunteers is also required. All Outreach Programs employees must be certified in American Red Cross CPR, Standard First Aid, and Prevention of Disease Transmission.
