Facility Support
Facility Support is best described as the "grease that helps the other
program areas run smoothly". Maintaining facilities and equipment for
safe enjoyable usage is what we do in summary. Five major components of
Facility Support include: 1) Equipment Check-Out and Locker Room Service,
2) Labor, 3) Sport Emergency Training (SET), 4) Capital Asset Management,
and 5) Facility Rental Group Counseling. The most prominent component of
the program is the equipment check-out and locker rental service at the
SRSC. Members present their ID card and receive sports and fitness
equipment to use at the SRSC for free daily use. Group equipment rentals
are also available on a reservation basis. Facility Support at the HPER
building provides limited equipment check-out service at the Supervisor
Station in Wildermuth Gym. The second component we are known for is
labor. We clean, conduct preventative maintenance and repair equipment
and facilities. The third component that Facility Support manages
Division-wide is Sport Emergency Training (SET). We administrate classes
where students receive American Red Cross certifications in
Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Standard First Aid (SFA), and
Preventing Disease Transmission (PDT) in addition to in-house safety
seminars. Fourthly, Facility Support is primarily responsible for the
stewardship of capital assets. Lastly, we assist in the coordinating of
special events by counseling groups who have approved reservations to use
the Division facilities.
